How it Works

You actually paint on something called Bisque (unfired pottery) with paints called Underglaze. The whole process of turning this blank, unfired item into a work of art is as easy as child's play! No previous experience is necessary, here’s what you do.....

Step One - Select your piece. I have a big range and items including plates, tiles, crockery, bowls, figures, picture frames - you name, I've probably got it and prices start from £8.50 and this includes all the materials you will need.

Step Two - Wipe your pottery with the damp sponge provided.Draw your design in pencil or by using one of my many stencils. I also have templates and stencils you can use and I can also make stencils for you from a drawing or photograph.

Step Three - Select your colours from the almost unlimited range that I have.

Step Four - The fun bit - paint it! Here's where you can really let your imagination flow and create something unique.

Step Five - After you have finished, I dip your work in clear glaze and fire it in my kiln. Work is normally ready to collect or for delivery within a few days.
